In the context of economic crisis, developing new energy becomes an efficient means of stimulating economy and promoting the employment. On January 20th, the 4th International New Energy Summit in China themed with “New Energy, New Economy, and New Engine” was held in Beijing. Huang Mengfu, vice chairman of CPPCC, chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Cao Jianlin, vice director of Science and Technology Department, as well as Liu Hanyuan, member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC, executive vice president of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and board chairman of Tongwei Group presented the summit and delivered passionate speeches.

　　During the period, summits on solar photovoltaic industry, new energy and financial capital, silicon solar cell were held. Government leaders from State Science and Technology Department, State Energy Bureau, the NPC Environmental and Resources Protection Committee, House Construction Department, new energy enterprises from China and aboard and experts had a hot discussion on new policies, financial capital and market in the area of new energy. An agreement was reached that facing the restructuring of economy and the requirement of reducing CO2 emission, new energy industry is a good choice. 

　　On the afternoon of the 20th, President Liu was invited to participate the solar photovoltaic summit. President Liu pointed out, “as Chinese, we shall be proud that Chinese people has succeeded in developing poly-silicon in 50-60 years, which promotes the development of the industry. In ten years, the output of poly-silicon by China will occupy 60-70% world market given that policies are established scientifically and the investors keep their passion in the area. Thus, how to speed up the industry and how to solve the problem of providing sustained energy resources is the problem modern people have to face. In next 3 decades, if photovoltaic and similar energy can be used to substitute for 50%of the present energy requirement, this industry can develop for 30 years with an annual growth rate of 30-50%, which will surpass the real estate to be the largest industry. ”

　　At the same time, China’s New Energy Expo was held to exhibit the famous enterprises in the area of new energy. Huang Mengfu inspected Tongwei’s booth. Hu Rongzhu, vice president of Tongwei Group introduces to Mr. Huang on Tongwei’s building of solar industrial chain. Mr. Huang Mengfu appreciated the efforts Tongwei places in the solar photovoltaic industry and the fruits Tongwei gets in such short a time. The scale, image as well as the core technology products of Tongwei’s solar energy and poly-silicon enterprises attract many guests, experts and insiders from China and aboard.
