March, 24, standing committee of the CPPCC and board chairman of Tongwei Group, Mr. Liu Hanyuan was invited to visit Chengdu biological research institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Mr. Liu and delegation visited natural products research center, ecology Research center, applied and environmental microbiology research center, research lab of amphibians and reptiles, as well as agricultural biological research center, and specifically learned about the use of crop germplasm resources, and important gene discovery.

At the meeting afterwards, Mr. Liu said, the new era has endowed companies and research institutes with new content. The two sides need to go beyond a simple relationship of help and education towards a long-term strategic cooperation with mutual help. For instance, a cooperation project can be done in terms of biological treatment technology of pollutants, equipment development and recycling, or photosynthesis conversion of duckweed. In this way, we can convert scientific achievements into product value, and provide a model for R&D transition from traditional research to new type research.

Mr. Liu hoped that mutual contacts can be strengthened in future. The mobility of researchers to enterprises should be supported and encouraged. It is necessary to create an innovative atmosphere and make further efforts for a higher ground of mutual strategic partnership.
