Developed by Tongwei Technology Center and Tongwei (Chengdu) Aquaculture Food Co., Ltd. the project of ‘electrochemical water preparation, mechanism and its application in aquatic products processing’ received the scientific-technical progress award first prize 2008-2009 by Xinjin County.

Appraised by the expert panel of Technology Office of Sichuan province, the project has a number of innovations: the new technique of preparation of titanium electrode electrochemical water at 110 khz frequency. Electrochemical water in this case has obvious bactericidal effect. The sterilization rate of artificially added contaminated water can reach 99.9%; the sterilization rate of pond farming water can reach 98.8%. In addition, it can effectively kill over 90% bacteria on fish body.

Study shows that electrochemical water can reduce drug residual on fish body to some extent. This technique has successfully applied to producing procedures of aquatic products holding culture, cleaning, and glazing, and in turn can improve the organoleptic quality of fish fillet.
