May, 5, the 6th AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Industry Exhibition and 6th AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Industry Forum was held in Shanghai, China. AsiaSolar is a major event in the solar PV industry. Over the past five years, the Organizing Committee has strived to build AsiaSolar into a reputable international PV event - to provide a platform for organizations and personnel within the solar PV industry to interact and facilitate the development of the industry, and with success.

AsiaSolar is a professional, international event, for experts and enterprises and business leaders to congregate and to showcase their company and its products and technologies, to engage in discussions and dialogue. The organizing committee cooperates with around 100 media worldwide, 40 industry organizations and 5 exhibitions, promoting in 5 key region exhibitions and more than 50 industry conferences.

Mr. Liu Hanyuan aired his views at the forum. He is quite confident about the promising future of Chinese enterprises: “Technology is not the problem, but recognition”. This means the companies in the sector should have a comprehensive understanding of this industry instead of being too hasty. In terms of power brownout, Mr. Liu said, it sounds the alarm again for traditional energy. The development of renewable energy is necessary and urgent. On the issue of recognition and alliance brought up by Mr. Liu received common consent by the attendees present. It is believed that the development of China’s PV industry needs common understanding and a real alliance.

On May, 5th, Mr. Liu accepted the joint interview by CCTV, Asia Business TV, Xinhua News Agency, Reuters, Solar Energy, and PV International about his suggestions on Solar PV industry development, as well as Tongwei’s next step development scheme in solar PV industry.
