Singapore EDA visits Tongwei

May, 18, Singapore Economic and Development Authority assistant chief LIM Swee Nian, director of greater China area PEE Beng Kong, and director of Chengdu office LOH Qiu Yi paid a visit to Tongwei, and received warm welcome from the board chairman Mr. Liu Hanyuan, President Yan Hu, and assistant president Nie Liang.

Mr. Lim and delegation visited the exhibition hall to get a better understanding of Tongwei’s achievements in aquaculture and new energy during its 30 years development.

Mr. Lim said, since the visit of Sichuan gov. delegation to Singapore in 2010, the Singaporean government has been trying to get deeper and more extensive cooperation with Sichuan. EDA has established a permanent office in Chengdu and hoped to fully make use of Tongwei’s advantage in many areas for prospective cooperation. Mr. Lim made specific introduction on Singaporean financial and tax policies.

Chairman Liu gave thanks to the guests’ visit. He said, Tongwei is expanding its aquaculture scale, and has formed an aquatic products producing cluster in Southeastern Asia including Vietnam, Burma, and India. Singapore will be the ideal place for an investment management operation. Tongwei will pay more attention to investment to Singapore, and actively promote mutual cooperation for a win-win situation.
