July 22, the Private Economy Research Institute of Beijing University released the list of Top 100 Chinese private Entrepreneurs with Social values. Board chairman of Tongwei Group Mr. Liu Hanyuan was listed.

The Social Value Report of Chinese Private Entrepreneurs is the first report of Chinese private entrepreneurs measured on the basis of social values. It indicates the social contribution levels of private companies in the aspects of economic value, social contribution, social influence, public service value and reputation.

Tongwei Group has built a formidable business that tallied ￥30.6 billion RMB in sales in 2010. To fulfill its grand vision of “Enhancing Life Quality of Mankind by Creating a World-class Brand of Aquatic Products”, Tongwei attaches great importance to Tongwei’s social responsibility. Tongwei has been actively involved in charity and public welfare establishments. In 2007, “China Siyuan Program• Sunshine Project” launched by China Democratic National Construction Association was initiated. This program aims to send high-quality, high-efficiency and eco-friendly household electricity to underdeveloped regions, especially densely inhabited areas of ethnic minorities. For this goal, Tongwei budgets an annual fund of 5 million RMB for 10 consecutive years for scientific solar energy research and new products R &D. On May 12th, 2008, Tongwei offered 12.5 million RMB to Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province right after the 8-magnitude earthquake. Up to now, Tongwei’s total value of donation has exceeded ￥200 million RMB.
