September, 20, Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) held project construction ceremony at Southwest Airport Economic Development Zone.

Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Tongwei Group in the business domain of new energy. With its core philosophy and mission of ‘Building the World-class Clean Energy Enterprise and Making Solar Energy for Life’, the company is doing its utmost to build solar energy industry chain from poly-silicon, mono-silicon silicon wafers, to solar cells, solar modules, and solar photovoltaic power generation. Meanwhile, Tongwei Solar positively promotes its core equipment R&D and manufacturing for solar energy generation, as well as the comprehensive utilization of solar energy.

The total investment of the 1st phase construction is about ￥ 1.3 billion RMB. The construction period will be 10 months, and is expected to be completed and commissioned in June next year. The 1st phase project will achieve an annual output capability of 200 MW with an estimated annual output value of ￥ 1.8 billion RMB.

President of TW Solar Hu Rongzhu addressed the ceremony. He said, currently, to fulfill its grand vision of “Enhancing Life Quality of Mankind by Creating a World-class Brand of Aquatic Products”, Tongwei perseveres in feed and aquaculture core business development, as well as its industrial chain extension on its way to the world-class supplier of healthy and safe food. Meanwhile, Tongwei strives to strengthen its competitiveness through huge investment in polycrystalline silicon and solar PV industry. It aims to become the world-class polycrystalline silicon manufacturer and the world-class PV solar enterprise. In 3 to 5 years, Tongwei will gradually form a complete new energy industrial chain from poly-silicon, mono-silicon, silicon wafers, to solar modules and solar photovoltaic power generation, toward the aim of contributing to humanity’s clean energy cause and sustainable development.
