February, 7, headed by the honorable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, the delegation of AAFC paid a visit to Tongwei headquarters, and received warm welcome from the board chairman Mr. Liu Hanyuan.

Senator JoAnne Buth, George Da Pont, President of Canadian Food Inspection Agency, John Knubley, Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada as well as the delegates visited the exhibition hall and got to know about Tongwei’s development path of the last 30 years.

At the conference afterwards, Minister Ritz marveled at Tongwei’s achievements and success, and commented that Tongwei is a company of world class for its development model and strategic positioning. He expressed his wish to strengthen cooperation with Tongwei with regard to raw materials for safe and high quality food.

Chairman Liu expressed the warmest welcome to the guests, and made in-depth analysis of the current status and development trend for China’s agriculture and animal husbandry industry. He encouraged both sides to make full us of the complimentary advantages to find the best methods in cooperation. Finally, the two sides exchanged the best wishes for mutual cooperation with a win-win scenario, as well as for the lunar new year of the Dragon.
