July, 28, 2012, Chongqing Tongwei celebrated 17th anniversary and the opening ceremony of its new plant. The completion and commissioning of the new plant marked the official operation of the largest-scale and most advanced feed plant in South-western China.
Chairman Liu Hanyuan and President Yan Hu attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mr. Liu gave high credit to Chongqing Tongwei’s staff for their concerted effort and hard work, and encouraged everyone to make persistent efforts, taking the new plant’s operation as a brand new start.
As the wholly-owned subsidiary of Tongwei Co., Ltd., Chongqing Tongwei integrates feed R&D, production and sales. With a total investment of over￥100 million RMB, the designed producing capacity reaches 600,000 tons/year. The new plant adopts China’s most advanced producing technique with the core equipment imported from Switzerland, producing livestock, poultry and aqua feed. The aquafeed and producing control system uses components and techniques of the world’s most advanced level, which enables the company to produce fish, swine, chicken and duck feeds at domestically leading level.
The company develops three portfolios of Tongwei, Tongli and Hejiahuan for fish, swine, chicken and duck feeds with over one hundred specifications. These products sell well in Chongqing and Sichuan markets, and received favorable comments from dealers. Tongwei feed portfolio has received national honors of ’China’s famous trademark’, ’Top China Brand’, and the title of ’Consumers’ Most Favored Product’ by Chongqing. 1997, Tongwei became the first in Southwest China to pass the ISO9002 international quality certification system and China Quality Mark Certification. 2006, Tongwei passed the food safety system certification. The certifications marked that the company’s quality control and quality system guarantee has reached international level. Tongwei has become the mark in the feed sector in Southwestern China.
Since its establishment, Chongqing Tongwei has transferred surplus labor of over 1,000 people to subsidiaries and branch companies, and educated over 50 management elites, increasing wealth for almost 100,000 farmer households in Sichuan and Chongqing with an average income increase of ￥2,000 RMB/year.
