May, 21, Consulate general of the FDR of Ethiopia Chongqing, Mr. Grima Temesgen paid a visit to Tongwei, and received warm welcome from Chairman Liu Hanyuan and VP Hu Rongzhu.

Mr. Temesgen made an introduction to Mr. Liu about Ethiopia’s general information and investment environment, specifically on the country’s GDP growth, preferential policies on foreign investment, the livestock and poultry industry, as well as its solar resource advantages. He further invited Mr. Liu to visit the country for potential investment opportunities.

Chairman Liu remarked that Tongwei had a profound relationship with Ethiopia: 10 years ago, 3 government-sent technicians from Ethiopia came to Tongwei’s research institute for 1-year exchange and study. According to the country’s current status, Tongwei could find business opportunities in its livestock, poultry and solar energy industries. He underscored the cooperation potential of import and export of agricultural food as well. Mr. Liu encouraged the two sides to make substantial project establishment with detailed data collection and exchange as soon as possible.
