September, 13, Deputy Director of Rural Affairs Commission of the CPC Sichuan Committee Yang Xiubin, and Sichuan Bureau of Aquatic Products Chief Qing Zuping paid an investigation visit to Tongwei’s pro-environment at Shuangliu and Xinjin, and received warm welcome from President Yan Hu, VP Wang Shangwen and Senior Consultant Wu Zongwen.

The visitors visited the breeding bases with a focus on Tongwei’s pro-environment project of ’deep ponds for low pollution discharge’.

To develop low-carbon farming, and carbon sink fisheries, specifically, avoid endogenous and exogenous pollution, Mr. Wu Zongwen creatively designed a pro-environment pond system with low pollution discharge, combining deep pond, seepage-proofing thin film, silt-water separation pond, solid-liquid separation pond, artificial wetland, as well as co-existence of fish and vegetables. The system discharges pollution every 3-15 days/time, and can save over 80% energy and labor consumption on silt treatment.

During the conference afterwards, Mr. Yan Hu stated, Tongwei attaches great importance to scientific research and achievement application as industry leader. In 2007, Tongwei was approved as the State Certified Enterprise Technology Center. Currently, under Tongwei Co., Ltd., there are 8 major research institutes. Tongwei Testing Center is also the State-level Lab with its testing reports being recognized in 58 countries. Additionally, Tongwei imposes ’no ceiling limit’ for research fee input to ensure the company’s core competitiveness.

Mr. Qing gave high credit to Tongwei’s contributions to the sector as well as to the farmers. Mr. Yang expressed the gratitude on behalf of Sichuan government and CPC Sichuan committee on Tongwei’s role as the technical leader in the sector. He said, the government and Sichuan bureau of aquatic products will give support to Tongwei as always.
