The China (Wuxi) Int’l Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition was held during August, 24 -26. Chairman Liu was invited to attend the conference and made a keynote speech.

During his speech, Mr. Liu stated, Tongwei has a history of 31 years since its business inception in aquaculture and feed, when agri-products like fish and pork meat in China were in scarcity. Tongwei started scientific research and invention at that time to guide farmers with production. 30 years later, China’s aqua-product volume accounts for 73% of the world’s total. Tongwei has also grown accordingly to the world’s largest aquafeed company, with 8 subsidiaries in Jiangsu alone. Every 1 in 3 fish we eat was farmed by Tongwei. In 2007, Tongwei officially entered the new energy sector.

Chairman Liu stressed that the future of China and the world’s energy consumption should not be based on fossil energy. In the next 30 – 50 years, PV generation will be the development priority, and it will bring economic benefits and business opportunities. Facing whether praise or criticism, China has entered the first echelon of the world’s new energy and become the world’s largest polysilicon producer.
