March, 20, Tongwei Co., Ltd. and Huazhong Agricultural University held signing and opening ceremony for the establishment of engineering & technique research center for siniperca chuatsi bass.

Vice principal of HZAU and officials from Hubei provincial bureau of science and technology, Hubei provincial bureau of aquatic products, President of Tongwei Co., Ltd. Yan Hu, President Hong Rui and executives from Tongwei Hubei Area attended the ceremony.

The establishment of the Research Center marks the win-win partnership in germplasm resource of mandarin fish and perch, as well as advanced breeding techniques. The objective is to restore the reputation of mandarin fish as China’s national fish, promote mandarin fish and perch exports, and turn China from a big country for aquatic products into a big power in aquatic products. Meanwhile, Tongwei’s self-independent creativity will be enhanced through cultivating a team of highly qualified talent in fish science and research.
